At Butter Lane we offer both French and American buttercream icing. What's the difference? French buttercream is made with egg whites, butter and granulated sugar, while American buttercream is made with confectioners sugar and butter. I’ve had a passion for baking since my childhood. Some of my earliest, and fondest, memories are of helping my mom bake back home in Kansas City. I’m not sure if I believe it, but I’m told that by the age of 4, I was a natural at decorating cookies. Whether I was good at it or not, I loved it - so much so that in elementary school I would stay home "sick" just so I could cook up recipes from "The Joy of Cooking"...
