Our menu format is intended to offer an experience in which our guests can enjoy the inherent surprise of a tasting menu, while still maintaining some control. Dishes are listed solely by their principal ingredients, and guests are invited to make their selections, share any thoughts or preferences, including any ingredient dislikes, and allow us to design their meal from there.
Gigino Trattoria opened its doors in August of 1994. The owners; Bob Giraldi and Phil Suarez along with executive chef Luigi Celentano have kept Gigino flourishing and Gigino has become a mainstay in the ever-changing Tribeca neighborhood. Chef Celentano creates both menu and wine list, with daily specials utilizing seasonally fresh seafood, game and vegetables. At Butter Lane we offer both French and American buttercream icing. What's the difference? French buttercream is made with egg whites, butter and granulated sugar, while American buttercream is made with confectioners sugar and butter.
